Where Does It Lead

The Agribusiness sector in New Zealand has major skill shortages across the value chain now, let alone the future.

This course provides an ideal background for students wishing to study at tertiary level and pursue a career in agribusiness including environmental scientists/researchers, farmers, bankers, engineers, economists, accountants, marketing consultants, business professionals, entrepreneurs, lawyers, technicians, internet software consultants etc…

The University of Otago is supporting the initiative in a number of ways, including recognising the new Agribusiness subject when assessing a student’s eligibility to attend the University. Agricultural Innovation is a new major available within Applied Sciences. Otago Polytech offers a wide range of Agribusines opportunities including Viticulture, Tourism and IT.
