Entry Requirement

Open to all students who took music at Level 1, but also open to musicians studying it for the first time at a senior level. It is strongly advised that students be able to sing or play an instrument upon starting the course.

Course Outline

Students will learn to perform, compose, research and analyse music from different styles, and develop their theory knowledge and aural skills.

Students will choose a combination of 20-24 credits based on individual strengths.

Performances are in front of an audience. These can be outside of school. For example, Gold Guitars, Competitions etc.

AS 91278 - Investigate an aspect of NZ Music   4 Credits
