Course Outline
A range of History topics are studied as the following basic skills are learned and put into practice:
Basic Skills:

- Information Processing
- Presentation of Information
- Critical thinking
Topics:

Students are able to choose their own history topics for standards 91230. Students have chosen a range of topics in the past from The Great Depression to Gallipoli, 1975 Land March, Stolen Generation, Civil Rights, specific battles within WW1 and WW2.

AS 91230 - Examine a historical event or place that is of significance to New Zealanders 5 credits
AS 91844 - Examine different psychological approaches used to explain a behaviour. 6 credits
AS 91846 - Conduct psychological research with guidance. 4 Credits

AS 91233 - Examine causes and consequences of a significant historical event 5 credits
Optional Achievement Standard
AS 91229 - Examine sources of a historical event that is of significance to New Zealanders. 4 Credits
