Students need not have studied at a previous level but this would be recommended.

$100 for food consumed in practical lessons and a course workbook. Yet to be confirmed.

Course Outline

Food and Nutrition is a one year course of practical and theoretical activities related to food, nutrition, health & Wellbeing, as well as some cookery and hospitality skills. 

Assessment

All standards are internally assessed using both written and practical work. There is no external assessment.

Internals 

US 15900 Prepare, cook and present meat in the hospitality industry – 4 credits

US 19770 Prepare and present egg and cheese dishes in the hospitality industry – 3 credits

US 15901 Prepare and present fruit and vegetables in the hospitality industry – 3 credits

AS 92008 Demonstrate understanding of wellbeing through the application of a model of health – 5 credits
