Second Placing at Catholic Quad For Trinity
By Michael MacKenzie | Posted: Tuesday April 4, 2023
On Sunday and Monday, April 2 /3 teams representing netball, basketball, hockey, football, E-sports and chess headed to Oamaru for the annual Catholic Quad Sports Tournament
This was a great opportunity to get some of our winter sports teams together and compete against the other southern Catholic schools - Verdon, St Peter's and St Kevin's.
Results were mixed across the board with our Boys Football team winning both games, Girls Football winning 2 out of 3 and Hockey having two very close losses and starting to come together well with a new team. Our netball team was still in trial mode and they had three good hit outs. The Boys Basketball won 1 out of 3 games and competed well. The E-sports and chess teams were very competitive and it was great to introduce some new students to the quad experience.
My thanks to all the coaches and managers who gave up their time to come along and help. To the staff, Iris, David, Craig, Kalas, and Rachel, thanks for your support.
We look forward to being even bigger and better in 2024.
