Year 7 & 8 Touch Season Roundup

Year 7 & 8 Touch finished for the term last Thursday with our Year 8 Boys’ teams ending the season strongly. With a banner and a top four finish, the teams have worked hard, improved, persevered and have done the mahi. Our Year 7 & 8 Girls’ team won their Development Grade Final against a strong Columba College team, 5 - 3. The two Year 7 Boys’ teams performed well all term and have laid strong foundations for the term four competition.

Over the past ten weeks, many of our Year 7 & 8 students got to school early on Thursdays to attend the Trinity Catholic College Touch academy. The academy focussed on building skills, knowledge and game awareness. As students progress through the touch levels, the game becomes more and more technical. We saw huge improvements with all of our Touch players and the sport at Trinity is growing and looking strong for term four. Thank you to our super coaches Mr Michael Jago, Mr Harris, Mr Haig, Mr Sutherland and Mrs Tupa’i for coaching and supporting our teams.
