Our annual blood donation drive is Aug 20

Sophie Golden, our Wellbeing Prefect is organising our blood donation drive this year.
It is important that we encourage students into a lifetime habit of donating blood which is a vital contribution to our community. The Care of Children Act 2004 allows people 16 years and over to make their own decision regarding their willingness to donate blood.
Sophie will be discussing the options and requirements with our Year 12 and 13 students when she is recruiting. You may want to discuss blood donation with your child. If you have a particular objection to this activity, please let your child know or contact Rachel Mortimer so that they know not to be added to the list.
The NZ Blood service respects the privacy of all donors and all conversations around donor eligibility is carried out sensitively and privately. Donors must bring ID on the day. The eligibility criteria can be found here.
