Year 7 Commonwealth Games Competition at Edgar Center

Year 13 Sports and Pastoral Prefects organised a sports extravaganza at the Edgar Center for our Year 7 students.
Students competed in their House groups with Year 13 House leaders reffing and cheering them on. They played basketball, football, touch rugby and dodgeball. There was plenty of excitement, cheering and laughter as the students ran up and down the courts having a ball. Rice was the winning team on the day with 3 wins and 1 draw. They were followed closely by McAuley.
The event was held to tie up our mathematics unit where we have been using the Commonwealth Games as context to explore measurement. The seniors planned the entire event and it ran seamlessly. A big thank you to everyone who helped put this successful event together.
