Building Business Skills: Celebrating Our Young Entrepreneurs

Our school’s Entrepreneurial Edge option for Year 7 to 9 students has been an incredible success. It fosters creativity, teamwork, and business skills. The course provides students with hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, challenging them to think critically and innovatively. From developing business plans to taking part in the $1 challenge, our young entrepreneurs learn what it takes to be successful in the business world.

One of the most inspiring aspects of the course has been the mini-markets held during break times. Students had the opportunity to create and sell their products, experiencing the entire product development cycle, marketing, and sales. Yesterday’s mini-market was a shining example of the talent and hard work our students have put into their projects, making us all proud of their achievements.

William Chambers, Deacon Cooper, and Samuel Harfoot organised and ran yesterday’s market. They impressed everyone with their diverse range of high-quality products, which included delicious fudge samples and gift packs, dairy-free chocolate biscuits, 3D-printed dinosaurs, and fidget toys. The market was buzzing with the enthusiasm of our students, and the products were so popular that they quickly sold out.

The feedback from students participating in the Entrepreneurial Edge course has been overwhelmingly positive. An impressive 82% of students reported that the course increased their interest in pursuing entrepreneurship in the future.

The Entrepreneurial Edge option has significantly impacted our students, equipping them with practical skills and igniting a passion for entrepreneurship. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing how they apply these skills in the future.
