Gifted & Talented students build an electronics kit, problem solve and learn the engineering techniques behind creating light.
Last Friday, the HoD of Technology, Mr Turner hosted students from the Catholic Schools Gifted & Talented programme. These students were equipped with an Arduino open-sourced electronics platform and programming software. The students were so immersed and excited about the programme they are hoping it will continue in 2018. Feedback has been very positive and the students want to gain even more skills in the wonderful world of STEM education.
Thank you, Mr Turner, for donating your time and expertise to organise this thoroughly captivating lesson. You have challenged our students to engage with and understand the relevance of STEM education in our everyday lives.
