The Development Team took on Taieri College Firsts in what was expected to be a very tough game
At 7-0 at half time this proved to be the case, with Taieri scoring some amazing goals and playing with a sound structure. Jamie Hall kept us in the game with some great saves. The second half saw us push into the opposition half on more occasions, however the structure of the opposition was our undoing and five more goals were scored. This was out last grading game and we look forward to playing against opposition suited to our current ability.
The Firsts played John McGlashan College U15s who are always a well drilled and highly skilled team. A tight first half saw us down by one but plenty of opportunities went begging as we couldn't capitalise on possessions in the opposition half. As always Hunter Burke made some courageous saves and limited the ability of JMC to score. Pushing hard on attack meant JMC were able to counter us with some lovely sweeping moves and eventually scored twice. Although we improved in the second half with some nice linked passes, we kept the JMC goalie unemployed.
