Peel Forest 11 PE Trip
By Ant Harris | Posted: Wednesday April 14, 2021
The year 11 PE class has just completed the inaugural camp to Peel Forest near Geraldine.
The students were working towards demonstrating responsible behaviours in the outdoors. The activities we participated in included a high ropes course at Geraldine High School, rafting down the Rangitata river, orienteering and tramping up Little Mount Peel (which turned out not to be so little!!). We stayed at the Ecolodge in Peel Forest which was completely solar powered and a new experience for most of us. The camp challenged students in different ways but they were all really positive about the experience and they are looking forward to going again. A big thank you to Richard Forbes, Codi Ramsey and Hugh Tait for coming away as parent helpers.
