Taekwondo Union New Zealand (TUNZ) South Island Championships 2023.

This event was held in Christchurch on June 10, and was attended by 19 different Taekwondo clubs with a total of 442 participants.

Abby and Belinda amassed a total of five Golds and one Bronze Medal during the event. 

Abby won a gold medal in individual Poomsae and with 10 clubs competing at the red belt level, this is a very meaningful and valuable medal.

Their achievements not only made the club, their parents, and their loved ones proud, but they also made them realize that they can excel in whatever field they planned to take.

Poomsae is a sequence of Taekwondo techniques linked together into a pattern of moves.

* Kyorugi ( Sparring) is a free-form fight between two people subject to strict rules to avoid injuries and to ensure fair competition.
