Year 10 Inter-Class Netball Tournament 2024

The annual Year 10 Netball Tournament took place on Monday with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship, marking a strong finish to Term 4.

As part of their Term 4 netball unit, Year 10 students were divided into even teams, each responsible for assigning roles such as manager, coach, trainer, and captain. Working collaboratively, the teams developed their skills and strategies, preparing for the highly-anticipated tournament!

Each class had three teams, resulting in a competitive 12-team tournament. The teams were split into two pools, and the competition was impressive, with some of the closest matches on record, including several draws. The tight nature of the pools kept things very tight in the quest for determining the two finalist teams.

At the end of pool play, two teams emerged as the frontrunners—one from TSH and one from VOS. After an exciting final match, the Year 11 VOS team took out the tournament by 1 point.

The tournament was a solid display of sportsmanship and positive attitudes, with the Year 10 students embracing the kaupapa of the event.
