Phoebe is off to see the Globe!

Congratulations to Phoebe Harris, Year 13 student at Trinity Catholic College on her recent selection in the New Zealand Youth Shakepeare Company.
In the recent school holidays, Arts Prefect Phoebe Harris, the Regional NSSP (National Shakespeare Schools Performance) recipient, attended a week-long residential workshop with approximately 50 students from around New Zealand. The week culminated with 2 performances from Shakespeare plays that the students had been working on and learning from scratch during the week.
From this week 24 students were chosen to represent New Zealand and form the NZ Youth Shakespeare Company, to travel to the Globe Theatre in London in June/July 2025. Phoebe was lucky enough to be one of the 24 students chosen and the only student from Otago/Southland to make the Company.
Congratulations Phoebe! Our Trinity Community is extremely proud of you, and your selection in the Shakespeare Centre Globe NZ Youth Shakespeare Company (SCGNZ YSC) is very well deserved indeed! All the best for your adventure (and no doubt fundraising ventures that lie ahead!).
