Sustainable Mufti Day

On Friday 23rd October there will be a mufti day.
The students are asked to look through their wardrobe and choose the most sustainable item of clothing to wear. This could be something bought at the op shop, something made from natural materials (wool or cotton rather than polar fleece etc.) or from a brand particularly sustainability conscious.
The expectation isn’t that students would buy something specially, but as long as they’ve given it thought, some awareness of the environmental impacts of the fashion world has been raised.
Rather than a coin donation, the students are asked to bring a waste-free lunch. Although if this is not possible, a donation to Caritas, who work with many island nations affected by Climate Change, would be appreciated.
