How do our young people hide their digital activity?

Teenagers' lives are far more visible today compared to the pre-digital explosion but like all young people, sometimes they want to go unnoticed.
When the more senior of us reflect on our own school days with landlines, no tracking apps, no social media and all our research was via the library rather than at the end of their arm, there was a lot we could do that went unnoticed. There are both pros and cons of that.
Teenagers don't always want their parents involved in all that they do and are far more influenced by their peers at this stage of their lives. So they may well try to hide digital activity as well. Our cybersafety article for this month is to highlight how children may hide. Not all hidden digital activity is necessarily bad but if you have concerns about your child's online world, it may be worth some investigation.
