Further TheatreFest Successes

Huge congratulations to the Trinity students who performed at the Lower South Island Regional TheatreFest in Timaru last weekend and took out a number of awards!
After their success at the Otago/Southland TheatreFest, both Trinity plays advanced to the next stage and were invited to perform in Timaru last Sunday. The seniors (who presented Pieces of Her by Ken Mizusawa) and the juniors (who presented I Think We Need to Have a Meeting by Lindsey Brown) both pulled off fantastic performances (against mostly adult entries) and came away with a number of awards:
I Think We Need to Have a Meeting
Excellence in Ensemble Playing
Excellence in Acting - Riley Culling
Excellence in Acting - Hermione Sparks
Pieces of Her
Excellence in Ensemble Playing
Distinction Award for Production of NZ Play
Excellence in Overall Design
And, just yesterday, Pieces of Her was invited to perform at the TheatreFest National Showcase in Wellington in a couple of weeks time - one of just five performances from throughout New Zealand to proceed to this final stage which is an outstanding achievement!
