Junior Basketball Academy

40 of our top junior basketball players have been working hard this year at our recently established Year 7&8 Basketball Academy. Under the watchful eye of Mr Taukamo and Miss McEntyre, the players have been put through their paces with a range of skill development activities and game simulations.

The introduction of guest coaches from the Otago Nuggets has given the students an insight into the professional game and how match IQ  plays an important part in team and individual development.

With early indications showing high numbers of our players in the 2024 BBO representative system, it is clear the academy is having a positive impact on our players.

We look forward to acknowledging these rep players next week.
