Special Character Reflection

First of all, well done to all those who competed at the Bishops Shield and represented Kavanagh last weekend! It was great to see everyone's spirit and teamwork.

The Bishop shield brought Catholic schools around Southland together, we acknowledged St Peters, St Kevins, Verdon and Kavanagh College as we celebrated our faith. As well as, merging our schools values, Family, Commitment, Justice and to be the best we can be. Enabling us to be there for another as one community, just as Jesus had taught us, “you shall love your neighbor as yourself”.

Let us pray,

Lord, help me to be a good friend for them. Help us, as we work together to be the light that leads the world to you. Bring us all together as a family with understanding and compassion in our hearts. Help us to find common ground, discover our passions, and seek you first. May you watch over each and everyone of us and lead us into hope and blessing. Give us the courage to open ourselves to others, by the power of the Holy Spirit make us one.

Our family is a circle of strength and love,
with every birth and every union, the circle will grow.
Every joy shared adds more love,
Every crisis faced together makes the circle stronger.
Amen
