Deputy Head Girl - Lilly McKewen
My name is Lillian (Lilly) McKewen and I came to Kavanagh as a Year 7 student from St Mary’s Mosgiel in 2012.
I have enjoyed every minute of the Kavanagh culture and have been involved in many different aspects of the College such as co-captaining the girl’s football team, playing social basketball on a Friday night and trying my hand at a few different sports such as cricket in the junior school and rugby sevens.
I am very passionate about Kavanagh and the pride the school holds and am very excited about enriching that pride, even more, this year. I am a very proud Ambrose house member and am looking forward to doing my part this year in powering Ambrose to hopefully taking out the house points system this year.
I have had a great start to the year having thoroughly enjoyed six weeks of peer support sessions with the new entrants, learning many new things about leadership at an Edmund Rice retreat weekend and putting myself out there to be involved in events such as Relay for Life.
I heavily value the Kavanagh Spirit and sense of community and my goals for this year are;
- to give back to Kavanagh as best I can
- be a positive leader in the school
- enrich the school spirit in the new entrants and junior school
- make this year the amazing class of 2018 have the best year yet
