Apply now to sail on Spirit of New Zealand as part of the Tuia 250 Voyage flotilla

Expressions of interest are now being taken for school-nominated individual students and school groups for this unique opportunity.
For two months, from the 5 October 2019 through to the 1 December 2019, the Spirit of New Zealand will join the Tuia 250 flotilla. And, as part of this commemorative flotilla, there is the chance to get on board free of charge* and experience one of the seven voyages planned.
* costs to get to and from the departure and arrival ports are at the expense of the individual.
DIFFERENT VOYAGES AVAILABLE
1. Mātātahi Voyage Leg - (5 October)
First leg into Turanganui-a-Kiwa for the Opening Ceremony of Tuia - Encounters 250. Open to 16 to 18-year-old students holding a Leadership position within the school.
2. Mātāohi Voyage Legs - (21 & 28 October, 3 & 25 November)
For teams of 10 students and one teacher. Open to all Secondary schools, throughout Aotearoa. There are four dates and voyages to select from.
3. Mātāpakari Voyage Legs - (10 October & 15 November)
Open Secondary schools also have the chance to nominate up to two individual students to apply to be Tuia 250 Voyage Trainees. These voyages are for 16 to 18-year-old students
