Fundraising Work for the FIFA World Cup.

This is an amazing opportunity to be part of a never to be seen again in our lifetime event!
There are six games and one All Blacks test match for which the Stadium requires staff. All money raised goes onto your school account to pay off sports trips/class trips/sports subs/cultural trips or anything else that may be outstanding. There is the potential to earn significant amounts ($92 per game) and the job entails ticket scanning. So very easy money.
There is an Induction Evening this Sunday the 2nd July at 4pm at the Stadium. It takes about 50mins. If you wish to partake in this opportunity it is highly recommended that you attend this induction, as there is a lot of information that you will need to know. Please note, even if you have volunteered at the Stadium before, these events are being run slightly differently due to the fact that FIFA is in control and there is a high level of security, so attending the induction is in your best interests. You will need to bring some form of ID to the induction (passport/drivers licence/birth certificate).
The dates of the games are as follows:
Fri 21 July 5.00pm report time approx 2pm
Sun 23rd July 7.30pm report time approx 4.00pm
Wed 26th July 5.00pm report time approx 2pm
Fri 28th July 12.00noon report time approx 9.30am
Sun 30th July 7.00pm report time approx 3.30pm
Tues 1st Aug 7.00pm report time approx 3.30pm
There is also a further event for the All Blacks vs Australia Bledisloe Cup Test Match on Saturday, August 5th. Expressions of interest are requested for this also. They will need large numbers to help the morning of, reverting the Stadium back to normal after the FIFA events, and also to work ticket scanning at the game, kick-off is 2.35pm.
Things you need to know -
You must be accredited to work at the venue for all FIFA World Cup events. If you have not already done so, please get a copy of your Drivers Licence/Passport/Birth Certificate to Anna Louw-Young as soon as possible.
You must be 16yrs or over.
FIFA also need a current photo to put on your accreditation pass. Please come and see Anna asap to have this taken, or email it to her at alouw-young@trinity.school.nz.
You will have to collect your accreditation pass yourself from the Long Room, University Cricket Oval (You cannot collect this on someone's behalf). Anna will forward the dates that these can be collected once she has this info. If you do not have your accreditation pass you will not be allowed access into the venue.
You will be required for approximately 4hrs each event, so some good money to be raised! Reporting times will be 1hr before gates open and you will be let go approximately 30mins after the starting whistle blows. You will not be allowed access into the game, unless you have purchased a ticket. If you do have a ticket, you can be released earlier so you can watch the full game. You will be required as Ticket Scanners or Ushers. Both jobs require 100% customer service, greeting punters with a smile and a welcome. It is a fun job, and the time should pass pretty quickly, given the high numbers they are expecting through the gates.
The pay rate is $23 per hour, and this money goes onto your school account and can be used for any outstanding school fees including upcoming trips. There is no tax on this.
The dress code is strictly Black Dress Pants and Black Shoes (no jeans or trackpants, no trainers and no white soles) - you will not be permitted to wear any branded clothing into the event (except for Adidas which is a major sponsor). You may wear a plain black beanie and black gloves, and I cannot stress greatly enough to layer up as it could get extremely cold. You will be provided with a T-shirt and Jacket.
If you have an accreditation pass you can get free public transport to and from the Stadium. This is a good option as several of the streets around the Stadium will be closed off, and parking will be a nightmare.
You will not be able to bring any branded food or drink into the venue (ie no bottle of Coke or Powerade, no packet of chips). If you do need to bring food it is suggested that it is a homemade sandwich or snack.
If you know of anyone else who would like to benefit from this offer (team-mates, parents, older siblings) please get them to contact Anna asap, as they are looking for as many people as possible.
Any other questions, please contact Anna.
