Therese Makasini on the Speech Circuit

Over the last few weeks of term one, Therese Makasini has been working hard on back to back speech competitions.
She gave an excellent speech in the Race Unity Speech contest. The following week she did an outstanding job representing Kavanagh College in the the Rotary Speech contest where she placed 2nd in Dunedin!
Therese entertained the audience with her spoken word style and engaged with her passionate delivery. Not only Kavanagh College, but also Rotary South were very proud of her performance at the event. We are all are hopeful and excited for her return in 2018, and where it will lead her.
Speech events are a fantastic opportunity for Therese to develop her speech skills and connect with like-minded students in the public speaking community. Her next event is the Lions speech contest in May, where the national winner gets to represent New Zealand in America!
