Understanding and Getting through Grief: A workshop presented by Michael Hempseed.
2024 is a very tough year for many people. This funny and practical workshop will help you discover a number of new and interesting ways to get through tough times.
Understanding and Working Through Grief
Thursday 25th of July
Parent/Community Session evening 7pm - 8:30pm, this workshop is for adults only.
Grief and loss are some of the hardest things we will ever have to experience. Grief can overwhelm us or leave us feeling numb.
The workshop will cover…
● Understand what grief can do to the mind and the body
● Learn how grief can affect different people in different ways
● When should you be concerned that someone is not coping?
● What help and support are available?
The workshops will be presented by Michael Hempseed. Michael Hempseed is the director of Frontiers of Hope, a specialist mental health service. He is also the author of Calming your Child and Being a True Hero: Understanding and Preventing Suicide in Your Community.
Michael gained an honours degree in Psychology from the University of Canterbury in 2008. In 2016 he spoke at TEDx.
