The Addams Family

So, what is the musical comedy The Addams Family all about anyway?
The members of the Addams family are dark, mysterious, quirky and macabre, they’re quite happy living by their own values as they have done for hundreds of years, and their family bond is incredibly strong - “Because living or dead, family is still family.”
However, Gomez and Morticia’s daughter Wednesday Addams is growing up and has fallen in love with Lucas Beineke, a sweet young man from a “normal”, respectable Ohio family who is about as un-Addams as you could imagine.
Wednesday convinces her parents to host the Beinekes (Lucas and his parents) for dinner at their house. Lucas has already proposed to Wednesday and she wants the families to meet so she can make sure that they can get along. What will happen when these two so very different worlds collide?
Wednesday seeks her father's help by telling him about the engagement but swears him to secrecy so he finds himself in the unenviable position caught between allegiance to his daughter and allegiance to his wife. What could possibly go wrong?
In one fateful, hilarious night, chaos ensues, secrets are disclosed, relationships are tested, and the Addams family is turned upside down. Can love finally triumph - despite all of these challenges?
You’ll have to come along to the show to find out!
The Addams Family performances will take place 23-26 May 2023 - half way through next term. Keep an eye out each week for more information about the show.
