Kavanagh's surf lifesavers continue to impress at IRB National Champs

Over the weekend, Kavanagh College had several students involved in the National Surf Lifesaving champs at Waikouaiti and they all performed very well.
Emma Christophers was awarded the trophy for the Top Overall Performing Open Women’s team in New Zealand. She was also 2nd in the Open Women’s Teams race, 2nd in the Open Women’s Mass Rescue, 3rd in the Open Women’s Assembly Rescue, 3rd in the U19 Men’s Mass Rescue and 4th in the Open Women’s Single Rescue (these are all National titles).
Aidan MacRae was 2nd in the Open Men's Mass and 3rd in the U19 Mens Mass.
Shannya MacRae was placed 3rd in the U19 Women Mass and 3rd in the Open Women Mass.
Riley Allibone was a member of the 2nd placed St Kilda Club and placed 3rd in the Open Men's Mass.
Ellen Redfearn also competed to a very high standard for her Brighton club.
