South Island Volleyball Tournament

Last week the junior girls and boys volleyball teams drove up to Nelson to compete in the Junior South Island Volleyball Tournament.
It was a three day tournament that was an amazing experience for us all, it had many ups and downs but overall was very fun.
Our girls team won three games but even through the losses we still enjoyed the challenge. A highlight for many of us would’ve been, being able to stop at Hanmer Springs on the way back and enjoying the pools. A huge thank you to our coach Vanessa Clark and our manager Michelle Tili who put in so much effort helping us throughout the trip. Not only have our skills progressed individually but as a team together we bonded very well. Paige Clark (Year 9)
At the Volleyball Tournament in Nelson, the boys team won five games and only lost three. We finished 10th in Division One, which we were really happy with. Our best game was probably against Waimea Junior A and our worst game was against Nayland High School. It was very fun as we got to go to the pool and the beach, and we even went to Hanmer Springs water park on the way back. We would like to say a massive thank you to Amelia Bresanello our coach and Sonya Taylor for all the effort they put into this tournament and the term of volleyball. William Jarvie (Year 9)
We would like to thank our Sponsors - Port Otago, Davin Healthcare, Forester Logging, Entire IT and Duncan's Door Center for their support in helping our teams. Also thanks to the teams, families and friends for all your help in fundraising and supporting us along the way.
