Representative Honors for Trinity College Debating Students

Congratulations to the following students for making the top four teams in Dunedin for the regional Debating competition. 

Seniors: Chē McGivern, Akein Wickramagedara, Joseph Kelly

 and

Juniors: Xavier Fuss, Ziva Curtis and Thomas Walker

This is the first time Trinity has had both seniors and juniors make the semis. Especially such a young junior team.  Give them a pat on the back if you see them.

And in information just in........

We are excited to confirm that the senior DSD semi-finals and finals will be held on Wednesday the 11th September beginning at 4pm! These finals will both be held on the same evening, and hosted by Columba College. 

The plan for the evening is as follows: 

• Meeting in the Frances Ross Common Room (normal Senior DSD meeting place) at 4pm 

• The two semi-finals will be run simultaneously 

• Break time with free pizza! 

• Teams advancing to finals will be announced 

• Final debate 

• Prize-giving 

All students, parents and teachers are warmly invited to attend and watch and we would love to see you there! Additionally speaker prizes at prize-giving may include speakers not participating in semis or finals.
