Otago Polyfest 2021

On Monday evening our kapa haka “Te Whetū Tīrama” performed at Otago Polyfest. We have students from years 7 – 12 in our Kapa Haka Group. The preparation for this started early in Term Two, each and every one of us worked hard in the lead up to this festival. There were many times where all us kids wanted to just goof and play games and we did!

Those were some of the highlights of our practices (and the food of course). With a smaller numbers of performers, and a smaller audience than normal, we pulled it off and did the best that we could have done.

As a tutor and a Year 13 student it has been a busy year, it was a tight schedule but we would like to thank each and every one of the students who participated this year, you all were a cool and unique bunch to work with! Lastly, we cannot thank enough Patrick Sefo, Piata Rapata Hanning, Matua Lucas, Matua Tili and Whaea Maya! Your time and dedication is truly appreciated.
