Matariki Weekend in Queenstown

Our international students enjoyed spending the Matariki long weekend holiday exploring the Queenstown area.
Twenty of our international students, accompanied by three staff members, enjoyed the sights and thrills of the Queenstown area.
Day 1 consisted of the drive from Dunedin through stunning Central Otago, a stop at the AJ Hacket Kawarau Bungy Jumping centre, and a trip up the Coronet Peak gondola to play in the snow. It was the first time seeing and touching real snow for many.
Day 2 was a great day in stunning Queenstown with highlights being a trip up the gondola, rides on the luge, lunch on the lakefront, visiting the Kiwi Park, seeing real kiwis (amazing!), and the lolly shop!
Day 3, and we saved the best to last starting with a thrilling jetboat ride with RealNZ Jetboats on Lake Wakatipu and the Kawarau River. Then we had 7 brave (or crazy) students and 1 teacher take the plunge at AJ Hackett Kawarau Bridge bungy jump. Well done Leo, Atom, Kanon, Ota, Curtis, Calyn, Matias and Miss Cooney!
A huge thanks to Miss Cooney and Father Hook for accompanying us!
