Shakespeare Festival

Good luck to all the Trinity groups performing at the Otago Regional Shakespeare Festival next week.

The Otago Regional Shakespeare Festival is taking place next Thursday (3 April) at the King’s and Queen’s Performing Arts Centre, and Trinity has four groups entered in the competition.


The Festival takes place during the day (9am - 3pm) and is open to the public. Entry costs $10 for adults and $5 for students - cash only. Trinity will be performing in the afternoon session between 1pm and 3pm. Following the daytime event, some performances will be selected to take part in an evening showcase starting at 6pm.


The Trinity students have been rehearsing hard all term and will present four different student-directed 5-minutes scenes:

Macbeth - Holly Cairns, Ella Carruthers, Theodora Clarke-Wallace, Tara Cruickshank, Evie Dummer, Sophie Jonathan, Hollie Moloney, Made Newson, Hermione Sparks, Mina Suwanarusk, Laura Tagg, Eden Webb


Much Ado About Nothing - Mitchell Atkinson, Riley Culling, Jake Harris, Heath Kettish, Noah Kettish, Harrison Rich, Luke Wild


Love’s Labour’s Lost - Matilda Andersen, Riley Culling, Anamika Jones, Joseph Kelly, Esther Koudayah, Matthew Lemon, Lucas MacLeod, Meadow Stewart


Everyone is looking forward to performing their pieces at the Festival, as well as watching all the scenes from the other secondary schools in the region.
