A visit to Danish Delights

A sweet treat
On Wednesday 1st August the Year 12 Practical Foods class went to Danish Delights, to see Claus Hansen in action making and shaping danish pastries. The class is learning about advanced processes in making specified products, with Danishes fitting this description.
Our visit was very enlightening to see how the processes are done in a commercial setting in large quantities. We also learnt what constitutes a good example of a Danish Pastry. We are now in a much better position to do our assessment.
Before we left, the class was treated to a delicious, freshly baked danish. Thanks, Claus and Ann-Marie for a great visit.
