Sports and Cultural Blues Evening

At the end of last term, on Wednesday 25 September, the Trinity Catholic College Sports and Cultural Blues Evening took place where we recognised our top performers in a variety of sporting and cultural fields.

Our guest speaker at the event was Kane Follows, who was a member of the New Zealand swimming team at the Paris Olympics this year. Kane talked to us about taking every opportunity that comes along and not giving up on your dreams, despite what others might say and any obstacles you might encounter.

During the evening, we were also entertained by three very talented senior students - Anamika Jones, Isla Kamo, and Lucy Appleton - who sang “From the Start” by Laufey for us.

The Manaakitaka Awards and Blues Awards were presented at this ceremony acknowledging student service and successes in a wide variety of sporting and cultural activities. Congratulations to everyone who crossed the stage and received an award. The full list of recipients is in the attachment below.
