NZQA exams start on Monday, 7 November and run until Friday, 2 December. A copy of the timetable is attached, and it is available on the NZQA website.
Exam Admission Slips:
These will be distributed to students tomorrow. Students must have their exam admission slip with them to enter an exam. If a student loses their Admission Slip, they can print a new copy from their NZQA login and get it signed by Ms Armstrong. If they can’t do this, they will need to see Ms Armstrong in person.
Students need to check their exam admission slip carefully and contact Ms Armstrong if there are any mistakes.
Year 9 and 10 students sitting NZQA exams will be given their Admission Slips by Ms Armstrong.
Candidate Information Sheet:
This has information, rules and instructions from NZQA. Students should read through this information. A copy is attached.

Lollies etc, must be unwrapped before entering the exam room.
Derived Grades:
· In some cases, there may be a legitimate reason why a student can’t sit an exam – accident, injury, sickness, bereavement etc.
· In these situations, a student may be able to apply for a derived grade. They will need to meet NZQA’s criteria for awarding a derived grade.
· Any student in this situation needs to contact Ms Armstrong as soon as possible – preferably before the exam.
· Any accident, injury, sickness etc, will require a form to be filled in by a medical professional. Students will need to collect a copy of the form from Ms Armstrong, take it to the appropriate medical professional and then return it.
· If a derived grade is approved and awarded, it will come from an authentic school result for that standard – usually from school exams.
