Celebrating the Achievements of Alumni
By Administration | Posted: Thursday September 26, 2024
It is a joy to follow the progress of Trinity Catholic College alumni, and in this article we highlight the recent achievements of Ellie McKenzie and Jamie Hall.
We are excited to announce that Ellie McKenzie has been named in the NZ Junior Women's Curling Team, and will head to Lohija, Finland, in December to compete in the World Junior B Curling Championships! What a fantastic achievement. Congratulations Ellie!
Jamie Hall is another alumni of Trinity Catholic College, and with flatmates Emilie Murphy, Ben McMorran, and Casey Jowsey, the group have won the 2025 Six60 scholarship, which gives them a chance to kick-start their music careers. The scholarship was established in 2021 by New Zealand band Six60 and the university, and includes a $10,000 rent rebate, as well as mentoring from some of the band’s members. It also provides them with access to the university’s recording studios.
Even more special is the fact that every year since its inception, Trinity Catholic College has had a past student receive the scholarship! Well done Trinity!
