The Dunedin Co-Ed Schools Sports Tournament is being held on Thursday 27 June.
DUNEDIN CO-ED SCHOOLS SPORTS TOURNAMENT
The following Kavanagh College teams will be involved in this:
Hockey Mixed ( 2 teams)
Basketball Senior Boys, Senior Girls, Junior Boys and Junior Girls
Football Boys and Girls
Netball Senior A and Intermediate Gold
Rugby U16 ( 10s)
Badminton Boys and Girls
Curling ( Experienced and Novice )
Each student is to only play one sport (rule made by OSSSA). Team lists for all of the above teams have been posted on the sports noticeboard and website.
Students are to meet directly at their venues by 8.45am:
Hockey at the Hockey Turf.
Rugby and Football at Bayfield Park
Netball and Basketball at the Edgar Centre
Badminton at Bayfield HS Gym
Curling at the Ice stadium
If anyone is unable to make it to their venue, vans will leave the dungeon at 8.30am. Games will conclude at about 2 pm and all teams will go to the Edgar Centre for the prize giving. All Players based down at Logan park will be bussed to the Edgar Centre for Prizegiving. The prize giving will finish around 3 pm and all students will leave for home directly from the Edgar Centre.
Students will need to make sure that they have plenty of food and drink for the day. All students must wear their full and correct school uniform to the venues. They will also be required to change back into full school uniform for the prize-giving at the end of the day. Students should make sure they have a big enough bag to keep their uniform safe and clean during the day.
The cost of the tournament is $10 per student. This all goes to Otago Secondary School Sports Association and is to cover the costs of the tournament and the buses. – venue hire, referees and umpires, organization, first aid etc. The $10 needs to be paid to the bursar by Monday 24th June.
