Otago Secondary Schools' Netball Tournament 2023

We had four teams entered this year and the girls were a credit to the college in the way they conducted themselves.
The results didn't all go our way but the girls learned how tough a tournament can be. All the more reason to keep coming to our conditioning sessions! Their attitudes and the way in which they kept their heads up when the score was down was very impressive. Most importantly, they seemed to have fun.
The Senior A came second in their section after a tough final and the 9Gold team beat St Kevin's in their semi-final only a week after being beaten by them in the junior Catholic Tournament. Ka pai!
We are very grateful to our volunteer coaches/managers who gave up their Sunday and Monday to support our teams. We couldn't do it without their expertise. One coach was unwell and the team's parents stepped up and shared the role and everyone was so positive and supportive, it was heartwarming to watch. We also appreciate all the parents and teachers who came to watch, support or even score games in the brisk temperature that the Edgar Centre provides.
