GOING ABOVE AND BEYOND

On Tuesday morning when most Kavanagh College students were enjoying their Teacher Only Day sleep in, six of our students were getting ready for school.
Former St Bernadette's graduates Holly Cairns, Daniel Ryan, Evie Dummer, Niamh Higgins, Laura Tagg and Melissa Quinn gave up half of their day to read Matariki pakiwaitara (stories) to the pupils of this outstanding school.
The Year 7 students were given the option of attending the visit in week three however they chose to attend and loved reconnecting with erstwhile teachers and pupils. Principal, Mrs Debbie Waldron and staff were blown away by the commitment and excellent storytelling abilities from our students. Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou (A huge well done) again to our Year 7 wonderful students!
