Trinity Volleyball ends the Season on a High

Congratulations to both our Girls and Boys Volleyball Teams who have performed extremely well this season. Attending the National Volleyball Tournament in Palmerston North recently, we are extremely proud of all our students.

What a month March was for the Senior Girls TCC Volleyball teams. Otago Senior Champs took place over the weekend of 15-16th March in Dunedin, and Trinity had both our senior girls teams competing. The Senior B team did so well being a young new team fighting for every set and finishing the weekend placing 12th overall. A great effort!

The Senior A team with only one loss all weekend placed 3rd winning a Bronze medal.  A huge congratulations to Paige Clark and Made Newson for being named as part of the Otago Tournament team!

A the end of March the Senior A team traveled to Palmerston North for the National Secondary Schools Volleyball Champs. With 100 boys teams and 100 girls teams registered from all over New Zealand, playing over 5 days, the tournament was an amazing experience and atmosphere for our Trinity Volleyball players. The girls played so well across every game, winning at least one set, with many games being so close with only 2 point differences in sets.  Having some wins and some losses on the last day we found ourselves playing off in the finals, taking out the WIN in our final game we placed 9th in Division 5.

So proud of all the Trinity Volleyball teams. This has been a great year preparing 2 new senior girls teams and accomplishing some amazing results. All the girls have grown and increased their skills and techniques. Thanks to Senior B Coaches Alice Kelsall and Ruby de Graaf, and Senior A Coaches Pete Sefo and Vanessa Clark. We would also like to say thanks to all parents, families, friends and sponsors for all your support through this volleyball season. Can't wait for next year!

(End of season report for our Boys Volleyball Teams still to come!)
