In order to raise more funds for the purchase of $2 garments/items for up-cycling, the Year 12 students decided to make wheat bags to sell.
The students were keen to use a natural NZ grown product in the process and wheat was the obvious choice. It is a team effort and the students have set up a production line whereby they share the cutting out, sewing and filling of the wheat bags.
The wheat bags will be on sale in the Gymnasium Foyer during the upcoming parent interviews. The price for a wheat bag is $15.00. Further information will be available next week.
