New Zealand Curling has just named their National Curling Teams for the 2018/2019 season, with Jayden Apuwai-Bishop named in the Men's U21 Team to compete in Finland in early January 2019.
They will hopefully qualify a New Zealand team for the Youth Olympics in 2020, which Jayden is a trialist for.
This weekend, Jayden will compete with siblings Grace and Temika and uncle, teacher Mr Lawrence Bishop, in the NZ Mixed Doubles Championship in Naseby. Jayden and Grace were very close to medaling in this last year. They started this year by winning the bronze medal in the Maniototo International Curling Doubles Championship.
