Otago Basketball has been great and really challenging. I’m currently in the Otago Basketball girls squad for 2024.

What are some challenges you have faced in sport?

My height has always been a challenge so I have had to work on my skills to get around taller players and work hard on my shots and layups.

Sport is very rewarding, what are some of the highlights you have experienced?

I have gained first place in dance comps and MVP in Football matches. With BBO, I have received the endeavor award.

Leadership and sportsmanship are very important. If people were to watch Lulu Mahoney play sport, what skills and attributes would they see?

Never arguing with referees or players and always playing fair. Passing the ball and including others is really important too.

How can students at Trinity show the 4 core school values on the sports field/ court?

Always be respectful and follow instructions of referees and coaches. Always be nice to the opposition.

Who are your role models and why? What are your sporting goals?

Paige Bueckers - UCON University and Juju Watkins USC University. They are awesome and great team players. My goals are to get into rep teams and do well. Also gain 1st place in Dance.
