END OF TERM ONE WRAP

As term one draws to a close, we acknowledge our student officials who have been referees for futsal and touch over the past 11 weeks. Thank you to Loki Borland, Thomas Crawford, Mason Lynch, Jake Lucas, Ellena Masoe, Jimmy MacKenzie, Brax Murdoch and Eti Vaeau. Learning the rules, turning up, taking on feedback and giving it a go is a big part of this mahi and we have had some outstanding feedback from Football South and Otago Touch about our referees.

Next up, we have our basketball and netball officials in action. Education is a part of the process and our budding netball and basketball umpires and referees have attended training and development courses recently. Yesterday our basketball referees attended a two-hour workshop run by Rebecca Moon from Basketball Otago. Thank you to staff members Mrs Mortimer, Mr Taukamo and Miss McEntyre for supporting our students. We wish our winter sports officials the very best for terms two and three.
