Ōtepoti Dunedin Whānau Refuge

Kia Ora,
My name is Zara Robinson and I have the privilege of being the Donations and Manaaki Coordinator for Ōtepoti-Dunedin Whānau Refuge (ODWR). Part of my role includes recognising gaps present in our service and finding ways we can meet the needs of our community.
At refuge, we work alongside wāhine (women) and tamariki (children) in both safe housing and the community and we have the pleasure of giving donations to our clients in need. This includes clothing, kai, toiletries, and any other resources they may require that we can support them with free of charge.
Each week we are extremely lucky to receive fresh produce from Kiwi Harvest. However, we have ran out of all snack foods, are soon to run out of breakfast cereals and have a low supply of pantry staples (besides canned foods). While we are not a specific organisation that provides kai, we fully stock our housing and have kai boxes available for any of our clients in need.
I am reaching out to your businesses as I am kindly asking that you consider donating food to us to help support our mahi.
Below are some examples of things we need:
Pasta
Rice
Noodles
Soup
Pasta sauce
Sauces
Condiments
Muesli bars
Biscuits
Treats
Crisps
Cereal
Sweets
Thank you for taking the time to consider this request. I look forward to hearing from you. (please see attached letter)
