Bishop’s Shield Success!

Students from Verdon College, St Peter’s College, St Kevin’s College and Kavanagh College spent the weekend competing against one another in prepared speech, impromptu speech, junior and senior debating, junior and senior drama, and junior and senior scripture.

In addition to the competitive events, there was also time for all the students to socialise with one another and celebrate Mass together, and the sense of community and camaraderie among everyone was absolutely wonderful.

At the end of the weekend, we were all very excited to learn that Kavanagh College had won the Bishop’s Shield for 2022 coming first or second in most events. The full list of results is included below.

A huge thank you to the students in our Bishop’s Shield team for all the time and hard work they put into preparing for their events, supporting one another, and being such great hosts. And another huge thank you to all the staff who coached our students for sharing their time and expertise.
