Relay for Life

A group of year 13 boys from Trinity Catholic College have decided to take part in the relay for life this Saturday down at the University of Otago.
The Relay For Life is an inspiring New Zealand-wide event to share love and appreciation for cancer survivors, people who live with cancer, and those who we have lost to it.
In Dunedin, the Relay For Life sees the participants repeat laps through the University of Otago Clocktower area in response to donations to the teams or individuals taking part.
Our students at Trinity Catholic College wish to make a difference and are choosing to take part in the 6pm - 6am walk or run event around the Otago Univesity Campus. Trinity’s Relay for Life team, “SkyFit Members”, are consistent members of the Dunedin Central gym, SkyFit24 who are sponsoring our team.
Our inspiring team members share their motivations for the Relay For Life.
Israel Garcia-Martin
“We should spend our time doing good things for good causes, these opportunities don’t come very often.”
James Hanning
“The fundraising we make will help many families in need who have loved ones suffering from cancer and is a great cause.”
Iszac Barltrop
“A lot of us know the pain of losing a loved one to this disease and we would feel good if we could help prevent others from experiencing the same.”
Benji Appleton
“I am really passionate about supporting this cause as cancer has affected many of my family and friends over the years.”
Aidan Hurd-Vial
“I believe that when you get the opportunity to help, you should take that opportunity because you don’t quite understand how many people are impacted.”
If you find your beliefs share similarities with these inspiring young men from Trinity Catholic College, we strongly encourage you to support the cause by donating to “SkyFit Members” through our Relay For Life link:

We appreciate any donations profoundly and so will those who personally suffer from Cancer in their lives.
