Fantastic netball result for the Junior South Island Netball Tournament

Our Junior A team played their way to the highest ranking we have had in a number of years- 8th in the combined grade!
The girls had worked hard leading up to the tournament, attending fitness and practice regularly. They have just been promoted in their Saturday competition to the top Junior Secondary school grade and are the only co-ed school team in this grade.
They won their first 5 games, putting them into the top eight. They lost their next three but should be really proud of their efforts up in Christchurch. A huge thank you to their coach, Marama Bannister, with support from Kylie Ellis and their super capable manager- Phillippa Henshaw. The girls were fortunate to have a lot of parent support as well. They were a wonderful group to take away- committed and focused.
A huge thank you to their sponsors as well because without them, the bill for a tournament climbs very quickly when it is out of town. As seen in the top image, LJ Hooker, Flex Fitness, Metalworks Otago and Arc Atelier all contributed to helping the girls go and the girls were fantastic ambassadors for the school.
Well done to Feile, Nina, Niamh, Mary, Laura, Bethany, Millie, Olivia, Daphne and Harper.
