Interschool Haka Practice

On September 19th - 21st Ōtepoti will host the Ngā Manu Kōrero Nationals, regional winners from all over Aotearoa will compete here at the Edgar Centre.
This is just the second time Ngā Manu Kōrero Nationals will be hosted in Ōtepoti, during the 58 years this competition has been held. The last time was in 2010. The event will be filmed for Māori TV. This event will be open to the public.
He Waka Kōtuia, Te Rūnanga o Ōtākou and all Dunedin secondary schools will take part in hosting this event. Yesterday some of our kapa haka leaders Levi, Molly Jane and Camila took part in in interschool haka practice at Queens High School in order to learn a Kāi Tahu haka, in preparation of the pōhiri.
