Regional Development Squad Selection for Junior Debaters

At the first weekend of April, Akein, Che and Joseph represented Trinity Catholic College at the Otago Debating Regionals. This is a fantastic event where students compete in six debates against secondary school students from around Otago. Trinity is proud to see that the skills of the students were noticed by the tournament adjudicators and they were selected for the junior development squad.  

This squad will receive unique coaching from members of the university debate club where they will continue to grow the students' talents and success in debating. Our three students will also train alongside other strong regional debaters, building their networks in this field.  Well done, Akein, Che and Joseph. It is an honour to have all three of you selected and to see your skills recognised beyond our school.
